# Do I need to provide the security deposit when making my booking?

For most bookings, the security deposit is not required at the time of booking. You will be able to provide it **from four days before your arrival**, via the secure page available in your guest area.

However, if your booking is made less than four days before arrival, the security deposit may be charged directly at the time of booking.

The amount is specified in your booking conditions and varies depending on the property. The security deposit must be provided **exclusively by bank card**. Depending on the details of your booking and the card used, it may take the form of a pre-authorisation or a direct charge.

Provided that no damage has been reported and no security deposit claim has been opened, the pre-authorisation will be released or the amount charged will be refunded automatically four days after your departure.

Upon arrival, we recommend checking the condition of the property and reporting any issues to us promptly to avoid any misunderstandings.

### Exceptions

- **Bookings made through a partner platform:** some platforms apply their own guarantee system. Please refer to the conditions provided when booking.
- **Mobility lease (bail mobilité):** no security deposit is required.
