# What documents are required for a civil lease?

To sign a civil lease, the following documents may be requested depending on your situation:

**Identity**

- A valid identity document.

**Professional situation**

- Employment contract or employer’s certificate,
- Last 3 payslips,
- K or Kbis extract for self-employed workers,
- Student card or enrollment certificate for students.

**Income and taxes**

- Most recent or previous year’s tax notice.

**Current housing**

- Last 3 rent receipts,
- Or a certificate of accommodation if you are hosted by someone else.
