For applicable bookings, the security deposit can be provided from **four days before your arrival**, via the secure page available in your guest area. You will receive a reminder by email. Depending on the details of your booking and the bank card used, the security deposit may take the form of: - a **pre-authorisation**, where the amount is temporarily held on your card without being charged; - or a **direct charge**. This is determined automatically: it is not possible to choose the method or know in advance which one will apply. If you have not completed the process, an automatic attempt will be made using the card on file two days before your arrival. For bookings made less than four days before arrival, the security deposit may be charged directly at the time of booking. ### After your departure Provided that no damage has been reported and no security deposit claim has been opened: - the pre-authorisation will be released automatically four days after your departure; - if the amount was charged, it will be refunded automatically four days after your departure. Depending on your bank, it may take a few additional days for the release or refund to appear on your account. Refunds are credited to the bank card used and are not made by bank transfer. ### Specific cases - **If damage is reported:** all or part of the security deposit may be retained while the claim is being processed. You will be informed accordingly. - **Mobility lease (bail mobilité):** no security deposit is required. - **Bookings made through a partner platform:** some platforms apply their own guarantee system.
